MEET GEORGE FOUCHÉ

FORMER INTERNATIONAL ATHLETE. EX-TEACHER. OLYMPIC HIGH-PERFORMANCE MINDSET COACH. George grew up in South Africa in a third-generation rugby family. His 14-year elite playing career took him from South African school and junior representative rugby to Premiership and international competition, including playing against the British & Irish Lions in 1997. Then George broke his neck. Unable to walk and facing a two-year recovery, he had to rebuild physically and mentally. George returned to top-level rugby and competed for another seven years. That experience now sits at the heart of Dare to Aspire. After becoming a teacher, George learned how to translate high-performance principles into messages pupils understand and apply. Since 2008, his mindset work has supported elite performers across more than 20 sports whose results include 37 Olympic medals across the last five Games. WHY PUPILS CONNECT George does not speak from a textbook. He shares the real highs, setbacks, pressure and choices that shaped his life. His message is clear: Your background does not define your future. Confidence can be developed. Resilience can be strengthened.
